Back to school season got you thinking about flexible working?

Posted on | Posted in Recruitment

Yes, summer is almost over but that also means that a crisp, new season awaits us!

Time to shake the sand out of your shoes, put the bucket and spade away for another year and tackle that ironing pile; ready for the start of a brand new school term.

If you’re a parent or grandparent, when the little darlings head back to the classroom it suddenly feels like there are a lot more hours in the day. Or maybe your kids are flying the nest for university and you’re wondering if it’s time for a change for yourself now, too.

Here at Wote Street People, we have part time & flexible working jobs in Basingstoke that could be the new challenge you’re looking for.

Part-time roles can offer you that flexibility to log off before the afternoon school run, or if you have child care commitments on some days but not on others.

part time work

It might surprise you to learn that many employers are especially keen on part-time workers because it can often mean a better balance of resources, a happy team and less sick leave.

Perhaps if you’re just easing back into the job market after a career break, or need school holidays off, temporary work in Basingstoke and the surrounding areas could also be a really exciting prospect for you.

Temp work often means you will be employed to complete a specific task or project, such as introducing a new business process, getting a mailing campaign dispatched, or being part of organising an event. Or you might be needed to cover an existing role due to holiday or maternity leave.

Many of our temporary candidates tell us that they come away from short-term contracts buzzing with that rewarding feeling that comes from moving a project to the next stage, tackling a problem, or just helping to keep business running as usual. Just as many tell us that they find the variety of moving around local businesses refreshing and a wonderful way to expand their knowledge and meet some lovely people.

Has back to school season inspired you to try something new? We’d love to speak to you about part time & temporary work in Basingstoke and surrounding areas.

Wote Street People can help you get a job, call us on 01256 799127 or email maxine@wotestreetpeople.co.uk to find out more.
