We’re all going on a Summer holiday……..

Posted on | Posted in Recruitment

summer holsWell, it seems like it anyway. May has been a strange month. Lots of jobs coming in, but applications have been lighter than usual.

A month that contains two Bank Holiday weekends and a half term is definitely a distraction. People tend to be planning holidays, looking after children, enjoying the lighter nights and not necessarily looking to apply for jobs.

Paying for your next holiday is always a good reason to stay put. However, the advantage to applying for a job when everyone else is distracted is that you may get noticed more – less competition.

So, if you see a job you’re interested in but the sun’s out and chillin’ with Pimms seems a better option, think again – now may be your moment to shine. Take the laptop or the application form into the garden with you and beat the crowds.

What shall we learn from our enforced time together?
